We did it! We made it throught the Ironman! I don’t know how those athletes do it – swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and then run a marathon, 26.2 miles! We set up a Run station, passing out Gatorade, water, chicken broth, cola, ice and energy boosts which included bananas, oranges, cookies, pretzels, goo and power bars from 10am until midnight, and I am so stiff and sore today – you would have thought that I ran the marathon! Our M*A*S*H theme was fabulous! Everyone was dressed as characters from the TV show that ran for 10 years here in the US: an Army medical unit stationed near the front lines during the Korean War. We had doctors, nurses, military personel and the walking wounded!
The M*A*S*H theme song played all day and the Jeep authenticated the whole scene!
But we couldn’t have done it without our Boy Scouts! They did a fabulous job – what troopers!
